An essential approach to achieving this result is collaboration among the designer, contractor, and most importantly you the client. For many clients the design process is a process of self-discovery. The design process is also a process of problem solving. I take a problem as an opportunity to produce a good design. My design is an outcome of a clean, clear and clever solution with a comfort and a style. Every design must have a good reason to be created and be worth spending time, effort and money on. An ability to complete your desired result within your time and budget restraints is a must-have-skill as a designer. Every designer should know how to listen to the words of the client, but a really good designer knows how to listen to the words that are not said.
